Would you sleep better if you knew you weren’t failing your kids in their education?
Homeschooling is not “paint-by-number”, and we can probably all relate to the “keep throwing paint until something sticks” method of home education more than we’d like to admit. But regardless of how confident we are in our approach to homeschooling, we as homeschool parents have all wrestled deep down with questions like:
-
Am I doing enough?
-
How do I know if my kids are learning?
-
Have I set reasonable expectations for me and my children?
-
Will my kids come out of homeschooling as “well rounded” adults?
-
What if I’m just not qualified to teach?
-
What are we going to do about higher education?
-
How do I deal with boredom and disruptions in the classroom?
-
How can I possibly teach five different grades at once?
If you’ve asked any of these questions, there’s good news:
1. You’re not the first to ask.
2. God has given answers in His Word.
3. We’ll be dealing with these topics in our LIVE Q&A workshop!
Regardless of how long you’ve been homeschooling, the Homeschool Makeover Q&A Workshop will encourage you in your journey to re-align your priorities to what matters eternally and place your trust solely in God and His grace—for it’s in our weakest moments He proves Himself strong. Come be encouraged. Get your questions answered. Turn that wall splatter into something truly beautiful as you prepare your kids to prosper in life and eternity with God’s blueprint for education.

- Teaching multiple students/ages: Strategies for saving time and reducing overwhelm.
- How to teach kids to teach themselves (without not losing relational connection or missing discipleship opportunities)
- Teaching with “interruptions:” How to help your kids maintain forward progress in learning when babies/younger kids, illness/health crises, or your children’s sin issues are constantly screaming for your attention.

What others are saying…
“We have been so thankful for the Worldviews in Conflict, Taking the World for Jesus and America in God’s Providence books. They have been just what we have prayed for in teaching materials: easy to use, interesting, full of Scripture application, and thoroughly submitted to the sovereignty of God. Our children have enjoyed learning from them and we often hear them making connections with what they’ve learned in their lives.”
Kelle S. – Michigan, United States
“Finally a history curriculum that teaches God’s providence in all of history! Told from a biographical, first person view, the events in history come alive for my children. My high school age boys LOVE history now and retain much of what they learn. This curriculum glorifies God and teaches HIS-Story!”
Terri M. – ID, United States
“We have all levels of the literature curriculum. For a busy mom of many, this has been a God-send! My kids love the books and I love the built-in accountability and deep thinking required to follow through with assignments. We have wonderful discussions sparked by the questions and essays. My kids are learning a lot and becoming better writers by reading such wonderful classics.”
Kim F. – Virginia, United States
“Great Christian Adventures is by far our favorite Literature program. Both of my sons have loved the stories and I have been grateful to find a curriculum that has taken out the guessing game of which books are best for young Christian children to read. Also, the workbook with vocabulary words, reading comprehension questions, and suggestions for the book report to write at the end of the reading is exceptional. We will continue to use all of this program throughout high school.”
Annette K. – TN, United States

Feedback from our curriculum users…
“We are using the Great Christian Stories Set. I find the curriculum to be very well put together. It is incredibly easy to use. It is encouraging to be using a curriculum that glorifies God.”
Melissa L. – Oklahoma, United States
“Worldviews in Conflict has been eye-opening to trace the roots of humanism in our culture and how it has infiltrated so many influential areas of life! I used it in our co-op this year and we have had great discussions with our high school students about the material. It has really helped them to see that IDEAS HAVE CONSEQUENCES!”
Annette H. – Florida, United States
“I have three kids under three and am homeschooling my teenager. We all enjoy the Great Christian Adventures series so I am able to read out loud while the toddlers play. The stories aren’t the same boring books I hated to read in school, but books even toddlers request I start the school day with.”
Sara M. – Michigan, United States

OR . . . Will they be colder towards Christ, lured away by deceptive worldviews?
We know that God must work in our children’s hearts if they will walk in the way of truth. For that reason, we both pray fervently for our children and we disciple them in the truth. We have produced the Christian Discipleship Curriculum to provide you with tools and a framework for faithfully discipling your children.

Attention Christian Parents:
Get a Simple Framework for Daily Family Worship
Use easy-to-understand Family Bible Study Guides to teach your children God’s Word, engage them in Bible-oriented conversations, lead them in worship, and show them how to live the truth in everyday life.
If you’ve ever tried to have meaningful family worship and Bible time, you know it can be challenging to get started and stick to a consistent schedule.
- Maybe you’re not sure where to start. If you’re not used to leading family Bible time, you might be at a loss on how exactly to do it. “We read the Bible passage…and then what?”
- Maybe you feel inadequate. You have a hard enough time trying to understand the Bible yourself. How are you supposed to explain it to your kids? What if they ask questions you don’t know how to answer?
- Maybe you’re discouraged by the lack of engagement from your kids. It’s not uncommon for you to finish reading the passage and look up at blank, disengaged stares on your kids’ faces. You try starting a discussion. Quiet. (Or silly answers and giggles.)
Why is regular family worship so hard?
If God’s Word isn’t boring… (And it isn’t. Persecuted Christians worldwide yearn for even a few pages of the Bible.)
If God’s Word isn’t too hard to understand… (And it isn’t. Even a young child can understand and believe).
…then why is doing regular family Bible reading, having meaningful conversations, and enjoying rich family worship so hard? Because…
When you sit down for family worship, you’re stepping onto the battlefield against the three strongest enemies of the faith:
The World (pressures from other people and their godless opinions):
- “Why waste your time studying a book you can’t trust? The Bible is a bunch of myths.”
- “It’s abusive for you to force the Bible and your religious views on your kids. You should let them decide what they want to believe. Brainwasher!”
- Unbelieving Grandpa and Grandma are over for dinner. And you know the tension in the room will jump into the red zone as soon as you pull out the Bible.
The Flesh (the pressure from our sinful will and desires):
- “Trying to read the Bible as a family and have a meaningful discussion sounds like work. It’s the end of the day, and I’m tired. Relaxing on the couch in front of a movie sounds more appealing.”
- “The rest of the family doesn’t seem interested in family worship. Why fight to make this happen?”
The Devil (Satan and his army of demons):
- Have you ever tried to open the Bible at the family dinner table and it seems like every possible distraction begins to happen? Your phone rings. Someone spills their glass of water. A helicopter flies over the house, and all young eyes turn to the window.
- On other days, your ears hear the words of Scripture, but your mind jumps from one thing to the next, anything and everything except the Scriptures.
- Satan loves to distract. He’ll do anything within His power to make God’s Word go in one ear and out the other without changing the heart.
Is consistent family Worship worth the fight?
“For ‘WHOEVER CALLS ON THE NAME OF THE LORD SHALL BE SAVED.’ How then shall they call on Him in whom they have not believed? And how shall they believe in Him of whom they have not heard? And how shall they hear without a preacher? And how shall they preach unless they are sent?” – Romans 10:13-15a
The world, the flesh, and the devil are constantly bombarding your kids with false messages, false “gospels.”
How will your children believe God’s Word and call on Him for salvation if they don’t regularly hear the truth?
And how will they hear the Word if you don’t teach it to them?
As a parent, you are “sent” by God and commanded to teach His Word to your children “as you sit in your house, when you walk by the way, when you lie down, and when you rise up.” (Deuteronomy 6:7) God wants your children to believe and be saved. They need to hear His Word…from you.
We can’t take away the battle over family worship. But we can equip you with tools to fight it…and win.

Our team at Generations produced the Family Bible Study Guide Series to give Christian parents a doable framework for family worship and Bible study.
If you want to do regular family worship but don’t know where to start, feel inadequate, or struggle to have meaningful family conversations about God’s Word, the Family Bible Study Guide Series will help you confidently lead your family in God’s Word.
Here are a few things you can do with the Family Bible Study Guides:
- Grow closer to God by understanding His Word better. Each daily reading includes Bible commentary and study questions that help you get to the core truths God is communicating in each passage.
- Engage all ages in the discussion. Take Bible time beyond simply reading the passage to meaningful family conversations with the content and life application questions we include in each reading.
- Get help answering your children’s Bible questions. Children have a way of asking basic questions that leave parents struggling to answer and feeling embarrassed. Use the study guide content and questions to 1) “prep” for your children’s questions and 2) as a resource for searching out the answers from God’s Word…together.
- Strengthen family relationships by studying God’s Word together. God’s Word cuts to the heart, convicting and encouraging in the most personal areas of life. Studying God’s Word, worshiping Him, praying to Him, and pursuing Him with your spouse or children can break down relational walls and build family bonds like nothing else. Use the Family Bible Study Guides to grow closer as a family as you study God’s Word together.
- Help your kids develop a biblical worldview. “Where did I come from? Why do I exist? What should I be doing? What is right and wrong? What will happen to me when I die? Why do people die anyway?” These are questions everyone has to answer. Your kids WILL find answers. The question is, will those answers be based on truth or lies? Help your kids avoid a life-long series of dead ends by giving them a clear understanding of reality…what God says in His Word.
- Give your kids the best possible education. Doesn’t it make sense that if your children truly learn from the Greatest Teacher and study the Greatest textbook, they will receive the best possible education? God is the Source of all knowledge, wisdom, and understanding. His Word prepares men and women for life by equipping them for “every good work.” Give your children the best possible education. Use the Family Bible Study Guides to help them learn true wisdom and knowledge from God’s Word.
- Help your kids answer life’s tough questions and challenges with Scripture. Life in a sin-cursed world can be hard at times. When your children know how to study God’s Word and understand His big plan of redemption, they will have the tools to make sense of suffering and live life in hope.
- Prepare your children to speak God’s Word into the lives of others. Someday Lord willing, your children will have their own children and grandchildren to disciple. They will cross paths with people searching for truth, life, and hope. Teach your children God’s Word, so they are ready to bring glory to His name by speaking His truth into the lives of others.
Make rich discussions about God’s Word a routine in your home.
Stop feeling guilty that you’re not doing a better job of nurturing your children in their faith.
2. Dig deeper into God’s Word.
3. Grow in faith as a family.
