What’s it about?
Literature studies are often seen as just another one of the subjects in school. It’s easy to forget just how powerful this subject is to either pass the faith onto our children or to turn them away from Christ. Literature and History are two of the heaviest worldview forming subjects that there are. The books your children read (or don’t read) will have an enormous impact on whether they enter their adult life loving the Lord with all their heart or taking the broad road to destruction. Literature studies are about much, much more than academics.
If you have embraced the responsibility of educating your children, you are holding a goldmine opportunity in your hands to point your children to the Lord using Literature studies. We want to see you maximize that opportunity to the fullest, so we’re really hoping you’ll join us for The Christian Literature Deep-Dive next week (April 16-20).
We’ll be working through common questions like:
- “How do I tell if my children can discern the worldview in what they are reading?”
- “Is there a list of good Christian books?”
- “When should we introduce ‘secular’ books material? We don’t want to ‘shelter’ them too long.”
- “How important is it to teach commonly used non-Christian books and help them discern what is wrong with it?”
- “How do you avoid over-thinking this and developing an overly critical spirit towards the ideas of authors and other people?”

Here is a quick note that you should read BEFORE you fill out the survey.
You may remember last year we ran a high-focus, free, online workshop called Passing on the Faith through Literature. We looked at how to ground our children in a Christian worldview on literature and cultural ideas while (1) giving them a high-quality education, (2) making it enjoyable for the kids/“doable” for Mom, and (3) without breaking the bank.
We received TONS of positive feedback. But honestly, there were a lot of things we didn’t get to talk about last year—questions that didn’t get answered. So we decided to run a second workshop this year! That’s coming up April 16th-20th. We have our own line of Christian Literature curriculum and we will follow up the workshop with a “best opportunity in 2019” sale on our Literature curriculum. We’re still finalizing some details, but it’s going to be a great time. (We’ve added 6th-grade Literature to our curriculum offering since we had a lot of people asking for it.)
But just to be clear, this workshop is NOT a cleverly disguised sales pitch. Sure, we’ll make our pitch during the sale and you can then decide if our materials make sense for you or not. But honestly, we want this free workshop content to be so helpful that you could start doing what we are talking about RIGHT NOW whether you use our curriculum or not.
