Kevin Swanson
Director at Generations
Homeschooled himself in the 1960’s and 70’s, Kevin Swanson and his wife, Brenda, are now homeschooling parents of five and grandparents of six. Kevin has 43 years of experience in the homeschooling movement and serves as the Director of Generations – a ministry he founded to strengthen homeschool families around the country. He written 30-40 books on homeschool vision and resources, spoken at homeschool conferences for over 30 years, and hosted a daily radio program reaching tens of thousands of homeschooling families. As a father who wants to leave a godly heritage for his own five children, Kevin’s passion is to strengthen and encourage the homeschooling movement all over the world, and to cast a vision for generations to come.

How do you know if your children have been with Jesus? It was clear that those men who had been discipled by Jesus had been with Him. But how would you know? The discipleship program of Jesus is way different than that provided by the world. Jesus trains in faith, prayer, and the Word.
Build your children’s education on the Rock. But, if we boil down everything God says about education in Deut. 6:7, Eph. 6:4, Prov. 1:7, Col. 1:18, Luke 6:40, and James 1:22, what are the most basic principles of a good education for your children? What are the four pillars upon which to build something firm and strong for the Level 6 Hurricanes blowing across the Post-modern, Post-Christian world? Kevin Swanson will present on these pillars: Family Discipleship, Biblical Worldview, Good Christian Teachers and Books, and Worship and Life Application.
What are the factors that matter most in the homeschool? What are the principles that really make it work? This is a basic introductory talk about homeschooling, based on Kevin’s 45 years of experience in the movement. This is based on Kevin Swanson’s book, “Upgrade, the Ten Secrets to the Best Education for Your Child.”
Kevin’s parents graduated six children from their homeschool, and now, Kevin and Brenda Swanson have just about graduated their five children as well. We will take a careful look at the word “success” and touch on our children’s calling and purpose in life. We clear the deck, and present basic goals for that preparation for life each of our children will need. We will offer two tracks — the entrepreneurial track and the college track — and offer to parents and young people an exciting array of options and ideas that will accommodate their children’s particular needs. Special mention will be made of the power of mentorship.
Young people are less prepared for life, family, and work than they ever have been. The situation could not be more dire. Yet, the revival of mentorship and discipleship has been a saving grace for the day. There is nothing better for spiritual preparation and economic preparation for the marketplace. Kevin Swanson will speak of leveraging a work opportunity into a mentorship. He will speak from 12 years of experience with mentoring, and what makes it so successful.
More than ever, young people are grappling for purpose and direction in life. Drawing from Proverbs 3:5-6, Kevin Swanson explains how a young person can live a purposeful life, and find the path that God has laid out.
There is no story more thrilling in all of history than what Jesus Christ has done through 2,000 years of missionary work. The world will never be the same. When studying world history, our children will get the wrong perspective entirely if they fail to see the amazing work accomplished around the globe by the Gospel. We must teach a Christ-centered view of history to our children. Here, Kevin Swanson, author of “Taking the World for Jesus,” will give you a whole new view of history and the world, through this amazing account.
Kevin Swanson obtained his Bachelors of Science in Mechanical Engineering, but he would be the first to tell you he didn’t like science very much (as taught in secular college). Here, he expresses his passion to making mathematics and science meaningful to our children by bringing it back into God-centered view. Why do we study science? And how can we make it 10,000 times more thrilling for our children, than the average teacher in the universities? It can be done!
Broken families, broken relationships, and broken lives is pretty much status quo now. And, we’ have never been so sure that Jesus Christ can redeem this. We can rebuild the walls by the grace of God, by tears, prayer, and faith. The Christian family will be a bright beacon to the world around us as we fully experience the Gospel and realize God’s vision for the family again.
What is the balance of family working, family studying, family worshiping, and family playing together? The world hardly has a concept of the family at all, and everything is usually out of balance. But, what are God’s priorities in family life, and how do we find true life and true joy in family life?
As the author of the groundbreaking book, “Apostate — the Men Who Destroyed the Christian West,” Kevin Swanson details the ideas, the philosophers, the classical authors, and the popular cultural icons that made the post-modern man what he is. Many Christian kids growing up in Christian homes are destroyed by philosophies and vain deceit, because their parents did not understand the times. This is a critical presentation for anybody who wants to know how we got to where we are today, and how modern man thinks.
Teaching literature is not for the faint of heart, or for those who are easily taken by bad worldviews. Many of our homeschooled children like to read and they may become some of the next great leaders, unless they are corrupted by the wrong worldviews (which happens more often than not). As the developer of the Christian Curriculum Project, Kevin Swanson invites parents and students to discernment on both the content and method of the great literary work.
Nobody influenced the world more than Charles Darwin. Kevin Swanson unpacks the Darwinian theory and its incredible impact on law, psychology, church, and politics.
Kevin Swanson challenges the theory of naturalistic evolution with the internal contradictions, the mathematical impossibilities, the lack of evidence, and the biblical record. He details how humanist, godless science is the undoing of science itself.
Kevin Swanson details how a Christian defends his faith using evidence and the presuppositional approach.
What are the proper sphere jurisdictions for family, church, and state? Should the state ban spanking or home schooling? Should the church dictate the education of our children? What about Sunday Schools and Youth Groups? When the sphere jurisdictions go haywire, chaos usually ensues. A basic understanding of family, church, and state is essential for the Christian family.
As one who is a father of a son, and a mentor of 12 other young men over the last 12 years, Kevin Swanson speaks on the unique challenges of raising sons and introducing them to manhood. He will address what God wants for our boys, as revealed in His Word.
As the father of four daughters (ages 17-24), Kevin Swanson speaks of the unique challenge for moms and dads raising daughters. How to communicate, how to love, how to discipline, and how to pray for our daughters. He will address what God wants for our daughters, as revealed in His Word.
How does a family interact with popular culture? Popular culture is everywhere around us. It influences the peer groups, and sets the worldview and the cultural perspectives of almost everybody today. Very few have the wisdom and the strength to swim against the stream. So, how does a family make its cultural choices? What part should entertainment play in the home? What are the major biblical principles that should govern our discernment of music, movies, tattoos, dress, etc.?
Kevin Swanson has followed popular culture for thirty years, and continually presents biblical analyses on a daily radio program. So, what is wrong with the movies? What is wrong with popular and country music? This session covers the good, the bad, and the ugly, and teach a careful discernment on all popular culture. We end with a short recommendation on healthy family culture.
There is a great deal of migration going on right now, even as the millennials are leaving the church in droves. The angst is rising. Some find the home church better than the mega church experience? Some are looking for high church, and some low church? Is shifting churches really going to buy you all that much? Here is a thoughtful consideration on choosing churches. We define the church, and give the marks of a healthy body.
Character training is a special focus for every parent. It’s every day, all day. But, it can be done badly. Always careful not to present a one-size-fits-all treatment of this subject, Kevin Swanson lists the two ditches on either side of the road, and encourages parents to stick to biblical principle. Above all, our training will remind ourselves and our children every day how much we need Jesus.
Many families do not realize that the curriculum they have chosen for their children actually conveys the wrong worldview of history, science, life’s purpose, and truth. It should not be surprising then to discover that 80-95% of teens growing up in Christian homes are abandoning a biblical worldview in this generation. The time has come to teach every subject from a Christian worldview perspective. It’s time to redefine a distinctively Christian approach to education.
Generations is pleased to introduce the Christian Discipleship Curriculum. We don’t think the Christian worldview should be conveyed in a single isolated course. The Christian worldview must be integrated into every course, every school year, and every hour of our children’s education experience. It must hang like a frontlet between their eyes, as they study history, science, literature, and math. (Deut. 6:8-9)
Today’s family and social-economic systems are failing and will continue to do so unless the collective people regain a proper understanding of reality. Generations Radio, with Kevin Swanson, presents that proper understanding of reality by speaking to the issues people face in the modern day from the perspective of a biblical worldview. Broadcasting from our basement studio in Elizabeth, Colorado, we reach over 100 countries.

Daniel Craig
Director at LifeLaunch, Host at Homeschool Summits
Daniel is passionate about home education, discipleship and the church. As a first generation homeschool graduate, he has a great burden to build on his heritage of Christian home-based discipleship. Married for just over 4 years and now with two little ones in tow, he and his wife Megan are in the throes of learning what it means to raise a family to the glory of God. Danny operates an accounting firm and is also the founder of LifeLaunch, a ministry with the mission of launching the next generation into life through powerful mentoring relationships and real-life application.
This session addresses the goal of education from a Christian perspective and answers the question, “What is the end game in homeschooling?”
This session explains the necessity of a God-centered education, and why a God-centered education makes for the very best education.
This session is a “must hear” for parents and students alike. Everyone recognizes that there are problems with traditional higher education. Yet for all the press, commentary and money spent to fix the problem, far too few people recognize the amazing benefits of one-on-one mentor-driven education. Even as homeschoolers, we often fail to realize that the need for biblical discipleship in education also applies to the college years. Get ready to adopt a new paradigm for “higher education” as Daniel explains how your student can launch into life NOW, with clear vision, through powerful mentoring relationships and real-life application.
No matter where we turn, we’re facing an epidemic of visionless, clueless, fantasy-driven young people. Stuck in an education system which fosters this disconnect from reality, few Millennials, even Christians, are able to successfully bridge the gap into real life. From the perspective of a millennial, Daniel shares practical keys to helping your students understand their calling and engage life for the glory of God – today!
When Miley Cyrus can garner over 19 million YouTube views in 24 hours by shamefully crashing into buildings on a giant wrecking ball, it’s impossible to deny that something is desperately wrong with our culture. While it might be nice to imagine that none of those defrauding views were by Christian homeschoolers, we cannot plead immunity to the lust and pride which saturates our toxic culture. The satanic rebellion of our generation is having its effect on us. So how should we respond? Should we resign ourselves to the status quo? Should we hide away in polar huts with lead lining? Or, should we just pretend things are not as bad as they seem?
Upholding the biblical alternative to these extremes, this session will equip parents to help their children define a godly relationship to culture by asking five critical questions: “Who is God?” “Who am I?” “What has God done?” “What does He require?” and “Why?” Or to put it another way, “What’s the difference between Miley Cyrus, Jesus and Me?”
Many parents begin the Homeschool Journey motivated by a strong desire to nurture deep and enduring relationships with their children. Over time, they realize that winning and keeping their children’s hearts requires something more than simply schooling them at home…especially during the teenage years.
But how do you keep your child’s heart without controlling it? How do you pass on your deepest convictions while at the same time avoiding the traps of legalism on the one hand, and permissiveness on the other? How do you foster healthy communication with your older children, maintaining the proper balance of love and respect?
With stories that will make you laugh (and maybe cry), Daniel shares how God, in His great mercy, used two wonderful, but imperfect parents to humbly, lovingly and yet courageously train him up in the way he should go, and not depart from it.
Parents considering homeschooling often worry about whether or not their children will turn out “normal”. They wonder if their children will emerge from homeschool truly prepared for success in life, or if they’ll emerge socially inept and uneducated.
In this session, Daniel Craig, a homeschool graduate, will share why he is glad he was homeschooled, and why your children will be too. Based on both his personal experience, and the unchanging truths of God’s word, Daniel will help you understand what homeschool “success” really is, where it comes from, and the real reason it matters.

Stuck in an education system which fosters this disconnect from reality, few Millennials, even Christians, are able to successfully bridge the gap into real life. From the perspective of a millennial, Daniel calls students and parents to adopt a new paradigm for his generation in light of God’s word. Don’t attend this session unless you are ready to be challenged with a new vision for life and an awakened understanding of the responsibilities God calls every young person to fulfill.
What does it mean to be an Entrepreneur? Is entrepreneurialism just for a select few, or is it something that even young people should pursue? Regardless of who you are, or where you work, the Word of God gives us a number of fundamental keys to personal growth and true success in life. In scripture, we are taught that the basics of entrepreneurialism – responsibility, initiative and ownership – are important, not just for business owners, but also for young people who are just beginning to make their way in life. Now, you too will be challenged to think of yourself as an entrepreneur. In this session, you will learn 5 powerful, yet practical keys to developing as an entrepreneur. You will gain an understanding of why they are essential and how you can implement them.

So you kind of like this girl. Or you think he’s cute. NOW WHAT? Marriage is a wonderful blessing from God, but the path to the altar often seems covered with broken glass – at least that’s what the bloody feet of many couples would indicate! Getting back to God’s foundational principles, and offering balance to recent homeschool applications, Daniel shares insights and admonitions with his peers from personal experience based on his recent marriage and having grown up in the homeschool/courtship movement.
Walk into any bookstore in America, go to the self-help section and see how many books claim, in some fashion, to provide “The REAL Secret to a Good, Long Life.” Quite a few, right? But just how many do you think will tell you that the secret is to “Honor your father and mother that it may be well with you and you may live long on the earth”? Probably not very many.
Presented by a fella who has to work hard at honoring parents – just like anyone else, this practical session will get down and dirty with what it really means to honor your parents and why it’s so important. (Hint: it’s the first commandment with a promise…)
You won’t hear this talk at your typical motivational seminar.
Life in a post-modern world can be tough for Christians – especially young Christians. When skepticism is the rage, and Christ is “so not cool” it’s not always easy to express one’s faith, much less do so courageously and convincingly. With pressure-relieving simplicity, this session will equip young Christians to stand up, step out, and defend the Christian faith– all without losing their own.
Do you want to live a significant life? There world offers young people a million ways to find significance, but how does God call us to find significance? Based on the Word of God, and the examples of young people in history, Daniel will help young people understand the true key to living significant lives.
The Kickstart Curriculum – Help your student launch into life NOW with clear vision through powerful mentoring relationships and real-life application!
When 36% of college graduates show no cognitive gains after four years of study, and only 51% can find full-time employment after exiting a higher education system with an average price-tag of $72K (public) to $140K (private), it’s impossible to deny that the college paradigm has failed us. How then are we to prepare our young people for their God-given calling so that they’re able to successfully engage the marketplace in a difficult economy? Though man’s education systems are declining, God’s program of relationship-based, character-focused, and life-integrated education has never been more effective. Mentorship prepared 12 men who change the world 2,000 years ago, and it’s still the most powerful method for launching young men and young women into life today. And that’s why we’re excited to announce the release of Kickstart–your student’s step-by-step guide to launching their life with clear vision, through powerful mentoring relationships and real-life application.
